Dynamic MyGoals takes goal tracking a step further. Instead of simply showing how much you’ve saved, it uses your current savings, budgeted surplus and goal priorities to project when each goal could be fully funded.
You’ll see which goals are on track, which are ahead and which might need a little attention. Here are some of our common FAQs:
Moorr uses your current savings, budgeted income, expenses, loan repayments, goal amounts, target dates and priorities.
It starts by allocating available savings to your emergency fund, then your goals in priority order. Each month, it works out how much surplus your goals need to reach their target dates.
Any spare surplus can then help bring goals back on track or fund them sooner.
Some goals linked to actual bank accounts or loans are calculated differently.
Yes! Unlike simply dividing your annual expenses into equal monthly amounts, Dynamic MyGoals accounts for when your bills are expected to fall due.
Using your transaction history and bill due dates, it projects your expenses over the next 12 months. That pattern then repeats in future years.
So if your council rates are due in March, they’ll affect March’s surplus rather than being spread evenly across every month.
Your emergency fund gets first priority.
Moorr allocates your available savings towards your emergency fund before distributing money to your other goals. Each month, it also tops up your emergency fund first if needed.
This helps you account for your financial safety net while working towards your other goals.
Absolutely! Your goals don’t have to be funded in order of their target dates.
Simply reorder them based on what matters most to you. Dynamic MyGoals will recalculate your projections to reflect your new priorities.
Each goal gets a status based on its projected completion:
These statuses can change as your financial information or priorities change.
No need to abandon that dream just yet!
Dynamic MyGoals shows whether your goal is At Risk or Not Achievable based on your current numbers.
You can explore adjusting your target date, goal amount, priorities or budget to see what might help get things back on track.
These figures help you understand how much breathing room you have.
It’s a handy way to see whether your current budget can support your financial goals.
Not currently. Dynamic MyGoals uses today’s dollar values and doesn’t factor in inflation, interest earned on savings or investment growth.
It also assumes your budget stays as entered unless you update it.
Remember, these are projections, not guarantees. Your actual results may differ if your income, expenses, account balances or financial circumstances change.
Keeping your financial information up to date helps make your projections more meaningful.
Dynamic MyGoals updates your projections instantly whenever your savings, budget or goal details change.
And with Open Banking coming to Moorr, things will get even easier! Once available, Open Banking will let you securely share eligible banking data with Moorr, helping keep your financial information more up to date with less manual entry.
Until then, you can continue updating your financial details manually or importing transactions via CSV.
The more up-to-date your financial information, the more useful your goal projections will be.
No. Dynamic MyGoals is a goal-tracking and projection tool.
It shows how your savings and budgeted surplus could be allocated towards your goals, but it doesn’t move money, transfer funds or make payments on your behalf.
